Miró Rosé
Vermutpedia Score: 5.1/10
Overall impression
Miró Rosé is the contemporary rosé vermouth from Vermuts Miró (Emilio Miró Salvat S.A.) in Reus, the historic birthplace of Catalan vermouth, according to vermutmiro.com. Launched for new consumption occasions — between meals, long drink or cocktail — it combines more than 48 botanicals in a very fresh profile with special character. The house presents it as the ideal vermouth to combine with your favourite tonic in the official Vermutónic: 50% Miró Rosé and 50% tonic. 15% vol., 1 L in the official store. For Vermutpedia, it represents the contemporary Reus rosé: spiced, balsamic and spritz-oriented, verifiable on the official Miró website.
Nose and palate
Earthy red colour with brick highlights, limpid and bright. A very intense and fresh nose: balsamic and spiced notes that push caramel nuances to the background, per the official tasting note. On the palate, very spiced with rosemary, thyme, wormwood, cardamom, fennel, liquorice and a touch of anise; pleasant and lingering bitterness with elegant citrus notes. Long and balanced finish. A spiced rather than cloying texture; fresh passage despite the declared semisweet sweetness — 14 g of sugar per 100 ml in the nutritional sheet. Compared with the classic Rosso — more balsamic and silky — the Rosé champions freshness and Mediterranean spices.
How to serve it
Miró documents the Vermutónic: wide glass with ice, equal parts Miró Rosé and tonic, stirred and garnished with an orange wheel or twist — the official recipe at vermutmiro.com. Also very cold in a tall glass with ice and lemon, or in a spritz with soda. Serve between 6 and 8 °C; orange enhances citrus and spice. Pairs with olives, preserved fish, mild cheeses and Mediterranean tapas. Silver medal at the World Vermouth Awards 2025. For Vermutpedia, Miró Rosé is the Reus option for a cold aperitif and the Vermutónic documented at vermutmiro.com.
