Overall impression

Vermouth De Muller Reserva is the premium reference of a Reus bodega founded in 1851, heir to the Cochs vermouth line (1946). Herbs macerated with part of the wine in wooden vats that previously aged reds — centenary barrels that imprint a roasted, balsamic character. Deeper and more wooded than classic Iris; Vinari Silver for Best Reserve Vermouth 2019 and 2021.

Nose and palate

Dark brown with amber reflections. Sweet, tannic, wooded perfume; toasted dried fruit, cocoa and coffee with balsamic finish. Sweet, silky, very expressive palate from prolonged contact with old wood.

How to serve it

Between 5 and 10 °C, on the rocks to appreciate the aromatic power; aperitif with vinegar preserves or classic Reus bar pours.

Production context

Reus vermouth formula after botanical maceration and blending with bodega wines (Mas de Valls). 16% vol., 75 cl. Range siblings: Iris Rojo, Iris Blanco and Giniris.
