Overall impression

Vittore Orange is Valencia's oldest vermouth, made under the formula devised by Benedetto Valsangiacomo at the beginning of the last century; today the fifth generation recovers the original label as a tribute to the aperitivo's origins. Orange-style production on a Moscatel white-wine base with its own peels, amplifying orange peel to tie it to Valencian land. Artisan maceration with manual wooden press. It is the citrus flagship of the Vittore range — more aromatic and terrace-friendly than Rojo, more orange-driven than Blanco — and one of the few historic Spanish orange vermouths with documented family continuity since the early twentieth century.

Nose and palate

Straw yellow colour with orange nuances. Balsamic aromas of sage, chamomile and thyme, a liquorice touch and citrus freshness. Palate entry with acidity balance; explosion of citrus alongside a pleasant bitter herbal finish. Long, persistent flavour. Moscatel adds floral grape sweetness that supports the amplified orange peel without turning confectionery. The bitter close of wormwood and gentian keeps Vittore Orange in vermouth territory rather than orange liqueur.

How to serve it

Very cold with ice and orange twist; ideal in white Negroni or citrus spritz. Amplified orange peel in the recipe invites service with fresh citrus. Also works as solo aperitivo on a Valencian terrace. Between 4 and 8 °C; soda optional for a lighter spritz. Pairs with oranges, almonds, turrón and Mediterranean tapas.
